DOJO INSTRUCTORS

 

DAVID MORGAN - (4th Degree Black Belt)

Started his karate training in December of 1991 at the age of six years old. He is Sensei Webster's first student in Florida. His training began in Cocoa Beach, FL at the CB Recreation Center. When he was promoted to 3rd Jr. Brown Belt he started commuting to the Palm Bay dojo which was a long drive. He has been training there ever since. David's career in the martial arts is amazing. He started competing in USKK sanctioned tournaments at the age of 16, even traveling to Ireland to compete, and went on to became Sensei Webster's first Grand National Champion. Since then, he has become a Grand National Champion six times and is the youngest person to ever win the Trais International Grand National Champion Cup in 2006 held in Peoria, IL. He teaches the novice class on Wednesday night at the Palm Bay Dojo. He also is a life member of the United States Karate-do Kai.

 

STEPHANIE McKINNON - (4th Degree Black Belt)

Started her karate training in November of 1993 along with her son, Craig Jr. She made her Sho-dan in November of 1997. She teaches rank belt classes along with teaching once a week in the Kobudo classes. She has a 3rd Brown Belt rank in kobudo and is certified by the USKK. She also assist in the women's self-defense classes. Her motto is, " I feel it's every women's responsibility to know some basic self-defense". She is a Reiki Master, and is currently studying Astrology. Her ultimate goal is to have a balance of mind, body and spirit. She made her 4th degree Black Belt on December 15, 2006. She also is a member of the United States Karate-do Kai.

 

 

CRAIG McKINNON - (4th Degree Black Belt)

Started his karate training in February of 1995. Made his Sho-dan in July of 1998. He teaches a Rank Belt class once a week and a Kobudo class once a week. He has also studied Toyama Ryu Japanese swordsmanship for three years. He is very interested in Okinawan Kobudo. He holds a 1st Brown belt rank in Kobudo and is certified by the USKK. He was promoted to 4th Degree Black Belt in December of 2006. He also makes traditional Okinawan Kobudo weapons. He also is a member of the United States Karate-do Kai.

 

MIKE MURPHY - (4th Degree Black Belt)

Started with his two sons under Sensei Webster in May of 1995, and has proudly trained with these instructors and many other great karate ka since then. Earned his Sho-dan in January of 1999 and his Yon-dan in December of 2006. He also has the rank of Sho-dan in Kobudo. A veteran spirited competitor in countless tournaments and seminars. Teaches karate techniques, kata, self-defense, kumite, and kobudo. Enjoys hard work-outs and sparring. Current member of The USKK assoc.

 

TIM CHAMPAGNE - (2nd Degree Black Belt)

Started his training at this dojo in April of 2001 along with his two sons. He made his Sho-dan at this dojo in July of 2005. He began his martial arts training in 1969. He has studied more then 17 different styles including Judo, Jujitsu, two forms of Kung-fu, three forms of Tae Kwon do, Hapkido, multiple forms of Shorin-ryu, as well as combat self-defense training by the military and the FBI. He teaches the class on Saturday's and during the week. He is a member of the USKK. He was promoted to 2nd Degree Black Belt in December of 2006.

 

GARY PUFFENBARGER - (2nd Brown Belt)

Started his training at this Dojo in May 2005. He had achieved the rank of San Kyu (3rd Brown) on April 27,2007.He also holds a Green Belt rank in Kobudo and is a member of the USKK. He teaches novice classes on Wednesdays. Fascinated by old Kung Fu movies(5 Deadly Venoms is his favorite), he started sparring and practiced Nunchakus with friends in the late 1970's. Started formal Martial Arts training in 1985 in Okinawan Shudo Kan Karate. In 1987, he changed styles to practice Hap Ki Do.

 

 

TARA LINNELL - (3rd Brown Belt)

Started her martial arts training in the summer of 2003. She studied Tae kwon-do and Tai Chi. She received her 1st degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon-do in July of 2005. She then began her study in the Okinawan Shorin-ryu karate in November of 2006. She also began her studies in the art of Okinawan weapons and earned her Blue Belt in August of 2007. She has now been promoted to 3rd Brown Belt in Shorin-ryu. She also trains Brazilian jujitsu and Aikido. She currently is instructing the Saturday classes.
